State-of-the-World
Humanity took the wrong direction when early in human history some humans or humanoids started to treat Nature as a commodity you could use and abuse.
Some also started to consider themselves to be superior to their fellow humans or humanoids.
Throughout history, this Big Aberration and Big Lie (code-named Babel) have had disastrous consequences. It has prevented Humanity from reaching a truly high level of civilization.
It has led to often lethal and atrocious struggles, wars and competition between individuals, tribes, countries, nations, races, religions and what not.
It can still all be different if the “collective mind of Humanity” is liberated from Babel and Peace becomes the common guide and aim.
Indeed, it is still time to reverse the trend. Leaving Babel of “competing till extinction do us part” and embracing Pax Majai or Universal Human Values across all borders.
When looking at this world from the standpoint of Peace or Pax Majai, there is hardly any leader or any country in history that can be considered truly great. Pax or Peace defines greatness as “doing all you can to respect all people and Nature everywhere and always”.
Pax 21 wants to show the absurdity of continuing “business as devastating as usual” and promote Universal Human Values across all borders and walls. “We all win when no one nor Nature loses” should be the motto of a Global Peace Pact or Earth Survival Pact.
This world is divided in about 200 different countries. Some of these are more advanced than others in terms of economic and technological development. Some countries are extremely poor, leaving millions of people to die because of the lack of food and water or the lack of basic medical care.
Why such enormous differences? Throughout history, different tribes, peoples and countries have fought each other for different reasons, the main ones being the ownership of land and other resources, the struggle for power, the exploitation of other people, the gathering of money and prestige, religious superiority… This has led to incredible amounts of resources and millions of people being sacrificed.
The destruction still goes on and on, with new and more destructive weapons being developed continuously, the dominating belief being that violence has to be combated with violence. Too little is done to combat the reasons behind the violence.
The economic system called capitalism allows such differences to be perpetuated and even strengthened. A limited group of people has been able to build up enormous riches, often by exploiting others and Nature. Many of the products sold are made in countries with low wages and limited legislation to protect human rights and the environment. Workers often have to work long hours in abominable conditions and get paid very little in comparison with the price consumers have to pay for those products.
Even in the so-called more developed countries, the differences between the various groups of population are often huge. A virtually endless and complicated system of laws and rules imposed by a wide range of political parties – more or less linked to the various groups of population – allows some groups to get “preferential treatment” as compared to the rest of the population.
Some people can earn up to a hundred times more than others for reasons anyone right in mind, heart and soul cannot understand. Some people can even hide their – often ill-gotten – riches in so-called fiscal paradises and escape from paying taxes in their home countries, though they use the infrastructure and services there.
Such huge differences contribute to tensions, conflicts and wars. They also contribute to crime, which is rather high and often incredibly brutal and it can happen to anyone at any time.
The education system dominating this world seems to focus more on material values than on human values. Young people are trained to fit in with the economic and financial system suffocating Nature and damaging millions of people world-wide. Too little attention is paid to teaching children how to build a society where people work together and treat each other and Nature with respect and honesty instead of competing with each other in ways that lead to such huge differences, conflicts and destruction.
Earth is a beautiful place and most people are peace-loving. Most people do care about each other and about Nature. Many of them would like things to be different. But the system running this world – with its many different countries and diverging interests – largely overshadows or destroys the positive elements that could make it all more peaceful and less violent.
It all clearly shows that civilization has not reached the level it could have reached. If countries, nations, races, religions or other groups go on competing and fighting each other the way they do now, if they do not treat Nature with due respect and do not treat all inhabitants of Earth with respect and care, civilization might well end in the foreseeable future.
We do hope this world will start to really learn from the many – often extremely horrible – lessons from the past and change for the better to create a society based on co-operation and not on domination (for reasons that make life for many innocent people across the world unacceptably cruel and even lethal).
This world does need to rethink the way it treats people and Nature. Everything is so focused on money or on feeding the Golden Calf. It continued, the Golden Calf philosophy is bound to make all people suffer, no matter whether rich or poor, whether so-called great or small.
Let’s make change happen and save Earth and everyone.
Danellandia – Pax 21 is based on discussions about this world and its many problems with people from different backgrounds, countries, religions and age.
Danellandia was created in 2004 and defined 25 human values as the basis for its campaign to make this world a better and more just place in many fields of human activities: politics, business, the media, personal relationships, education, Nature care…
You can help to promote these values by sharing the material on this site. This world needs people and leaders who put humanity first and not money or power. People and leaders who unite others rather than create tensions, divisions, conflicts and war.
Strong human values are a passport to a sustainable, fair, green and healthy future.
The world of Peace can become a reality!
